I am consumed by my new Telenovela (Mexican “Soap Opera”) Fuego En La Sangre. I can’t get enough. I wasn’t always like this. I blame my mom. A few years back while visiting during the holidays mom would sneak upstairs and watch her soap. I sat down to watch one night and I was hooked.
It is one of the corniest I’ve seen. It doesn’t hurt that all the actors are hottttt.
I’m Mexican what can I say?… tan tan!!!
Friday was a nice change we went to Giverny to visit Monet home & gardens. It was a 45 minute train ride outside of Paris. We arrived early enough to beat the massive wave of senior citizens that arrived after us
Time is sure going by fast. It’s been a week since we left and there’s still a lot to see and do.
Ok so I’m not the best at writing my blog. I get back at night and my sister gets on the computer. I am engrossed with a book I brought. It is a nice change to read instead of being in front of the computer.
Tomorrow we are going to Giverny where Monet lived and painted some of his famous waterscapes.

The past Few Days
Monday Tuesday was hectic. The morning stared off wet and it only got worse as the day wet on. That didn’t stop us. We went ahead with what we had planned and went to Sante-Chapelle a gothic chaple with huge stained glass windows.
We had a late lunch at Cafe Les Philosophes. A popular hangout for locals and tourists alike. The food was delicious. (see photo on flickr.com)

Tuesday
Off to the Eiffel Tower and Rodan Museum. It was hard taking pictures while holding my umbrella.
Wednesday
The Pompidou Museum/Louvre Museum.
Thurdsday
Today we went to the Musee de L’Orangerie then over to the Musee d’Orsay. And it was raining again. We thought it was just passing by but it wasn’t. After a few hours in the museum it stopped.
Ok after 4 days of not having any internet connection, I’m checking back in. My sister and I have walked and walked looking for an ethernet/usb connector. originally we thought we had wireless connection so I didn’t bother to buy an adapter. We tried buying yesterday but most stores are closed on Sunday. Blah.
This morning it was our first priority and we headed out to the electronic store and found the apple adapter. I paid 29 euros, roughly $45. Sucker!!!. I could have bought it for $29 in th us.
Well worth it. I need my internet connection.
Aside from that ordeal, everything else is fine. We have walked A LOT!!!. It should keep the lbs off after eating cheese and bread.

We got up about 3:40 thanks to my mom who likes to set her clock 20 minutes ahead. “Not now mom it’s too early”. That didn’t matter she began to assemble a few bean tacos for us. Delicious. You wrap them in wax paper. They keep nice and soft.
Comfort food really. She also sent us off with a few pieces of pan dulce (mexican bread). Score!
We are about 1.5 hrs from departure to St Paul Minn. Gotta go I’m about ready to start watching CHIP’s Season 1.
I’m getting excited. I’m not looking forward to the long flight. Ok I think I need a drink.
